Commissioning and Start Up Operator

Overview

S2F Global Resources is seeking an experienced Commissioning and Start-up Operator for an immediate start to support the start-up of a new process plant at a mining operation in British Columbia. The plant is in its commissioning and start-up phase. The successful candidate will work on the operations side, bringing systems online from first runs through to steady operation, and will help hand the plant over to the owner's operations team. This is a “boots in the ground” role with a rotation schedule of 14/7 (some occasional days may be required).

Key Responsibilities:

• Starting up plant systems from initial runs through to steady-state operation
• Completing commissioning check sheets, punch lists, start-up procedures, and safety reviews
• Managing isolations, lockouts, and work permits during commissioning
• Supporting system turnover and training the owner's operators on the plant
• Working alongside construction and commissioning crews and the client's operations team.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of plant operations experience, including hands-on commissioning and start-up.
• Comfortable with commissioning documentation and permit-to-work systems.
• Control room/panel operating experience is an asset.
• Power Engineering ticket is an asset but not required.

• Ideal Start Date: Early November
• Duration: 2 months approximately
• Accommodations are provided.
• Bus transportation from hotel to site & return.

Schedule and Working Conditions

This is an intensive start-up assignment, so expect long, near-continuous shifts until the plant reaches stable operation.

• Short-term contract tied to start-up completion.
• Extended hours and on-call availability during commissioning.
• Outdoor work in British Columbia weather conditions.
