Taurus Mortgage Capital is a Markham-based mortgage brokerage founded in 2011 with a single mission: helping Canadians achieve home ownership through expert advice, competitive rates, and a process that is simple and transparent. Led by President George Hugh a 20+ year Canadian banking veteran and former VP at ING Direct Canada. Our team serves first-time buyers, investors, self-employed clients, and new Canadians across the GTA.

We are growing and looking for an Operations Manager to join our team.

THE ROLE

You will be the operational hub of Taurus Mortgage Capital managing the mortgage file pipeline, coordinating with lenders and partners, supporting our broker agents, and ensuring every client experience reflects the standard Taurus has built its reputation on.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage mortgage files from application through to lender approval and funding

• Coordinate with lenders, insurers (CMHC/Sagen), lawyers, and appraisers

• Maintain CRM and document management systems

• Review application packages for completeness and lender compliance

• Support broker agents with file coordination and client communication

• Identify and implement process improvements

• Manage office administration and day-to-day operational needs

• Onboard new broker agents joining the Taurus team

WHAT YOU BRING

Required:

• 3+ years in mortgage operations, mortgage administration, or financial services operations

• Solid knowledge of the Canadian residential mortgage process — application to funding

• Familiarity with Canadian lender requirements and insurer guidelines (CMHC / Sagen / Canada Guaranty)

• Strong organizational skills — you keep multiple files and deadlines moving without errors

• Professional communication — written and verbal

• Mortgage CRM or document management experience

• Legal authorization to work in Canada

Asset:

• Brokerage-specific experience

• Filogix, Velocity, or Newton Spark platform experience

• FSRA mortgage agent or broker license

• Bilingual (English + French or other GTA-relevant language)
