Position Overview
Reporting to the Director, FP&A - Supply Chain, you'll partner closely with Finance and Supply Chain leadership to transform complex operational data into meaningful financial insights and actionable recommendations. This role offers the opportunity to influence forecasting, budgeting, inventory optimization, working capital management, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead financial analysis for inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), inbound product costs, and freight expenses to support business performance and decision-making.
  • Support monthly forecasting, budgeting, and reforecasting activities to improve financial visibility and forecast accuracy.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and decision support:
  • Drive inventory and COGS inputs to budgets and rolling forecasts, connecting operational plans to financial outcomes.
  • Assess underlying assumptions and validate that purchasing, inventory, and cost projections align with the organization's short- and long-term cash flow and profitability objectives.
  • Conduct price-volume-mix, inbound cost, replacement cost, and other targeted analyses to support sourcing, pricing, and commercial decisions.
  • Facilitate performance reviews with Supply Chain stakeholders, track actions, and follow through on agreed outcomes.
  • Develop management-ready narratives that connect data, operational context, financial implications, and recommended actions.

Planning, modelling, and scenario analysis:
  • Own and enhance integrated Inventory/COGS models, including automated data refreshes, validation controls, and documented assumptions.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to develop forward-looking assumptions for sales orders, bills of materials, purchase orders, vendors, lead times, freight, and duties.
  • Build scenarios and sensitivity analyses that quantify impacts on inventory, COGS, margin, cash flow, and service levels.

Automation and continuous improvement
  • Identify, prioritize, and automate recurring finance activities using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau, and other approved tools.
  • Design scalable data flows, dashboards, exception-based alerts, and self-service analytics that reduce manual effort and improve timeliness and consistency.
  • Establish data-quality checks, reconciliations, process documentation, and governance to maintain reliable outputs.
  • Improve the transformation of sales-order forecasts into material requirements through process redesign, analytical validation, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Measure automation benefits and continuously simplify workflows so capacity is redirected toward analysis and business partnering.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A, financial analysis, or supply chain finance experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to automate recurring processes and build scalable analytical solutions using advanced Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools.
  • Strong financial modelling, scenario analysis, data validation, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven business-partnering capability, including the ability to assess underlying assumptions, influence stakeholders, and translate complex analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Self-starter who can manage changing priorities while maintaining ownership, pace, and follow-through.
  • Knowledge of the CPG industry, inventory, COGS, freight, and cross-category management is preferred.
  • ERP experience, including Pronto, and familiarity with data structures and system integrations are assets.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Position follows a hybrid work requirement, consisting of four (4) days onsite and one (1) day remote weekly.
  • Primarily office-based with standard working hours;
  • Flexibility in work hours may be required, including additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines or address urgent business needs.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Minimal physical demands, primarily involving sitting, using a computer, and other office-related activities
