Home Care Worker

The Care Concierge connects families in Niagara with verified independent home care workers. You run your own practice: you set your hourly rate, choose which families you work with, and decide how you give care within your training. We introduce you to families whose needs fit what you offer. We also handle scheduling, invoices and payment, so you can focus on care.

Who we're looking for

• Personal support workers (PSWs) with a PSW certificate
• Nurses (RPN or RN) registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Developmental services workers (DSWs) with a DSW diploma
• Companions and homemakers: no credential needed

We serve St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Welland, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Grimsby and elsewhere in Niagara. You tell us your home base and how far you're willing to drive.

How it works

• You set your rate. We never suggest, set or cap it. Families see it before they choose you.
• You choose. We send you short, private summaries of families who fit your services, area and availability. Accept or decline each one; saying no is fine.
• Families choose you, too. They meet the care workers who accepted and pick their care team.
• Visits are at least 3 hours. You arrange times with the family in the app. If a family cancels with less than 24 hours' notice, the visit is still billed.
• Paid weekly. We invoice families every Monday. When they pay, your share goes straight to your bank account through Stripe.
• One fee, shown up front: a 12% platform fee on the hours billed for your work. Families pay our service fee separately, on top of your rate. No cost to join.
• Everything in one app: schedule, visit notes, messages with families, earnings and statements for your records. Your location is recorded only when you clock in and out, to back up the times on families' invoices, and never between visits.
• Refer a friend: $50 for you and $50 for them once they've done 10 hours of paid visits.

What you'll need

• The credential for your kind of work (none for companions and homemakers)
• A Vulnerable Sector police check from the last 12 months
• Two references we can phone (no letters needed)
• Our short privacy training
• A short intro video (up to 90 seconds) that families see after you accept them
• Nurses: the professional liability protection the College requires
