Shift: Days Monday – Thursday:
  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday:
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
About the Role We are hiring a Tool Setter / Presetter to support CNC machining operations in a precision manufacturing environment serving the aerospace and defence industries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience as a Junior CNC Machinist, Tool Crib Technician, or CNC Setup Assistant who wants to develop specialized tooling and presetting skills. Candidates with basic CNC machine shop experience, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Previous tool presetting experience is an asset but is not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and organize cutting tools, tool holders, inserts, fixtures, and gauges for CNC production.
  • Assemble and measure tooling according to job requirements.
  • Set or verify tool measurements and offsets as required.
  • Inspect tools for wear, damage, and replacement needs.
  • Maintain an organized tool crib and monitor tooling inventory.
  • Read and follow setup sheets, tooling lists, and basic technical instructions.
  • Ensure CNC operators have the correct tools ready before production begins.
  • Work closely with CNC operators and setup technicians to minimize production delays.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
What You Bring to the Table
  • 1–2 years of experience in CNC machining, a machine shop, tool crib, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, inserts, and CNC machining processes.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and basic technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Good organizational skills and a reliable, hands-on approach.
  • Willingness to learn tooling preparation and presetting techniques.
