We work with clients globally to increase facility productivity, optimize labor costs, and improve overall order packing efficiency. The Opportunity In this role, you will be part of a production team responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The Mechanical Assembler plays a key role in ensuring products are built safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards before delivery to customers. This position supports continuous improvement initiatives and contributes to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities * Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings and work instructions. * Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate assembly. * Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to complete assemblies. * Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. * Identify and report any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities to supervisors or quality personnel. * Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments during assembly. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and Ontario health and safety regulations. * Follow all workplace safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Collaborate with team members, engineering, and quality departments to resolve assembly issues. * Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparation of finished goods for shipment. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality. * Complete required production documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Ideal Candidate Profile Education & Experience * Post-secondary technical training (college diploma or certificate) in a related field is an asset, such as Mechanical Engineering Technician/Technologist or similar. * Mechanical aptitude with experience in a manufacturing, production, or technical environment. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. * Basic mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. * Proficient in Microsoft Office products. * Strong customer focus, communication skills, and problem-solving are required.
