Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to coordinate and oversee daily construction activities, supervise crews and subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of site superintendent experience, strong leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate workers, equipment, schedules, and resources while maintaining effective communication with Project Managers and site personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, direct, and supervise workers and crews engaged in construction activities.
- Plan and allocate resources, manage daily production, and coordinate personnel and equipment.
- Supervise multiple crews and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship, efficiency, teamwork, and productivity.
- Communicate project priorities, progress, and potential issues to the Project Manager.
- Conduct on-site safety orientations and maintain daily safety reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and proper incident reporting requirements.
- Read, interpret, and apply information from blueprints, surveys, construction drawings, and job specifications.
- Identify potential problems, assess risks, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Maintain effective working relationships with employees, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Site Superintendent experience.
- Experience supervising construction crews and coordinating subcontractor activities.
- Ability to plan work, allocate resources, and coordinate equipment and personnel.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, surveys, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and incident reporting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination, listening, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain positive working relationships.
