Business Consultant - Senior

The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following combinations of education or certification and experience in the resource role:
• University degree in business, management or a related discipline and four years of related experience; OR
• Two-year diploma in business, management or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and six years of related experience; OR
• One-year certificate in business, management or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and seven years of related experience.

Work Experience

Demonstrated experience in developing integrated plans, portfolio and project reporting and communicating progress to senior executives.

Experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.

Experience in the design, development and implementation of a digital transformation initiative or digital delivery program

Experience with business writing, communication and documentation.

Nice to Have

Professional Licenses/Certification

Active certification in CAPM, PMP or PgMP as issued by the Project Management Institute or equivalent and/or an active CMC designation as issued by a member institute of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes or equivalent.

Work Experience

Demonstrated experience in executive stakeholder relationship management and engagement (i.e. determining the needs of senior stakeholders and understanding business priorities and pressures).

Demonstrated experience working in the health industry and knowledge of business practices, information, data and technology requirements.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the contents and application of the Alberta Health Information Act, including but not limited to supporting the development of related artifacts such as Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), Security Threat Risk Assessment (STRA), Business Impact Assessment (BIA).

Experience in facilitating meetings and communicating with senior management and project stakeholders.

Experience in managing projects in an organization of comparable size and complexity to the GoA.
