Job Overview:

The candidate will serve as a Body Weld Seibi Technician, responsible for commissioning new Body Weld equipment at factory and machine vendor sites. The successful candidate will perform robot teaching, PLC troubleshooting, and equipment inspection/confirmation. The role supports Body Engineering for model change activities, with a primary project focus at the Cambridge and Woodstock, Ontario sites, along with potential support for other plant locations.

Requirements:

  • Two-year technical degree (A.S.) or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, robot programming, PLC logic modification, and troubleshooting.
  • Offline and/or online robot programming.
  • Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended.
  • Prepare and confirm new Body Weld equipment at the vendors.
  • Support weld machine Seibi activity at North XX Manufacturing Companies from installation to start of production.
  • Develop equipment countermeasures during setup and trials.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with automated robotic welding (spot/arc) and robotic material handling preferred.
  • Industrial maintenance experience.
  • Body weld shop experience is considered an asset.
