Project Description
To support Government of Ontario priorities under the Protect Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act, 2025 (Bill 5), the resource may be assigned to Bill 5 initiatives on an as-needed basis.
The Project Manager will lead complex I&IT projects ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and OPS standards.
Must Haves
- 10+ years Project Management experience
- Strong knowledge of PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge)
- Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and practices
- Knowledge of AODA standards and regulations
- Experience managing project monitoring, issue resolution, and project governance
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships and expectations
- Experience identifying and resolving conflicts across project and functional teams
- Ability to recommend software, hardware, and technology acquisition strategies
Major Responsibilities
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within scope and budget
- Facilitate business process change and transformation initiatives
- Plan and lead project delivery using Agile and Digital approaches
- Communicate effectively with ministry stakeholders and executive leadership
- Develop and maintain project schedules and integrated project plans
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, and financial controls
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation activities
- Lead steering committees and stakeholder forums
- Coordinate resources, onboarding, performance expectations, and team activities
- Manage vendor engagements and procurement-related activities
- Provide executive-level reporting and portfolio status updates
- Promote OPS project management methodologies and best practices
