Organic Growth Lead - Fully Remote WITHIN CANADA
Flywheel Digital scales growth channels for some of the world's top education and consumer brands, such as Good Inside, Native Shoes, UBC, and Earth Rated. But more importantly, we only work with good people.
We believe digital-first work has the unique potential to unlock growth, connection, craft, and freedom. Our mission is to bring that potential to life for our team and clients. We deliver measurable long-term growth outcomes, act as an extension of in-house teams, and turn data into insight. This has led to high-profile industry awards, including Search Engine Land's Boutique SEO Agency of the Year and Globe and Mail's Canada's Fastest-Growing Companies.
We're hiring an Organic Growth Lead with a focus on SEO/GEO and analytics to support Flywheel's organic growth team. This is a full-time, remote-first position open to anyone in Canada.
High Level
We're looking for a talented Organic Growth Lead to own the strategy and execution for our clients' organic growth programs. We take a “soft-eyes” view of what ‘organic growth' includes. You won't just be optimizing content for search traffic and AI visibility—you'll own the end-to-end content strategy, provide CRO recommendations, and build reporting frameworks that uncover clear insights on how to improve share of voice and brand sentiment.
This is a full-time, remote-first position, reporting to the Director of Organic Growth & Analytics, best suited to someone with experience scaling organic search and GEO programs across multiple client portfolios.
Responsibilities
SEO/GEO
•Own strategy and execution of visibility strategies across organic search engines and LLMs.
•Identify high-value keyword and prompt opportunities based on customer search behaviour and LLM trends relative to the clients' focus area.
•Develop full-funnel content strategies and content roadmaps informed by SEO/GEO research and client business goals that improve topical authority and conversions.
•Lead technical SEO across crawlability, indexing, rendering, site architecture, core web vitals, internal linking and structured data
•Write blog articles, landing pages, and copy that improves clarity, increases engagement and converts.
Analytics
•Monitor AI visibility scores, citation frequency, share of voice, and sentiment across tracked competitors and AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini). Surface what's working, what's not, and bring recommendations to the team.
•Develop frameworks to report on organic performance beyond website traffic, such as keyword rankings and AI citations gaps, share of voice, and conversions.
•Analyze and report on website performance across different stages of the funnel considering channels mix and attribution.
•Conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager and dashboard build on Funnel, Looker Studio, GA4 and/or Hubspot.
Client and Project Management
•You take full ownership of the client relationship and serve as the primary point of contact for senior-level stakeholders.
•You proactively project-manage your strategies end-to-end; executing the work and delegating effectively.
Other Responsibilities
•Ensure brand voice, messaging clarity, and strategic alignment
•Surface opportunities to optimize conversion rate
•Share and align organic strategies with email and paid channels
Qualifications
The right person has 5+ years' experience or equivalent skills in the following:
•Building SEO/GEO strategies & roadmaps tied to business outcomes.
•Experience with SEO/GEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Peec, Profound, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console).
•Understanding of SEO/GEO fundamentals, including keyword research, topical authority, and technical SEO.
•Using analytics tools to identify gaps, opportunities, and key insights to inform strategic decisions. You are able to create your own reports.
•Experience using analytics and CRM (automation) tools (GA4, Funnel, Hubspot, Klaviyo).
•Writing and editing across multiple formats and styles (blog, landing pages, email).
•Experience with content platforms (Webflow, WordPress, Shopify, etc.).
•Working with cross-functional teams (SEO, analytics, paid media) and clients.
Skills & Mindset
•You're a strategic thinker who can also execute. You don't just plan, you ship.
•You understand that performance is measurable. You care about what the data says.
•You have a growth mindset. You take initiative to surface and execute on high-impact, results-driven opportunities.
•You can adapt your voice. Blog posts, email sequences, and landing pages all need different approaches.
•You work well with a remote team. You're self-directed, detail-oriented, and manage your own time.
•You communicate clearly with strategy and analytics teams, and stakeholders.
•You have a clear point of view on channel attribution.
Bonus Points
•Experience having a direct report
•Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
