Job Title: Senior Python Developer – Machine Learning (Banking Domain)

Location: Toronto, ON- 4 days onsite in a week Job Type: Full-Time

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of Python development experience
• 2+ years of hands-on Machine Learning experience
• Experience working in banking or financial services environment
• Strong understanding of:
  • Supervised and unsupervised learning
  • Model evaluation techniques
  • Statistical analysis
  • Data preprocessing techniques
• Experience deploying ML models into production environments

Technical Skills

Programming & Frameworks

• Advanced Python (OOP, multi-threading, performance optimization)
• ML libraries: Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
• Data libraries: Pandas, NumPy
• API development (FastAPI / Flask)

Data & Infrastructure

• SQL and relational databases
• Experience with big data tools (Spark is a plus)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Docker / Kubernetes (preferred)
• CI/CD and DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MLOps practices and model lifecycle management
• Knowledge of credit scoring models or fraud analytics
• Experience in real-time decisioning systems
• Familiarity with capital markets or trading systems (plus)
• Agile/Scrum experience
