Welder /Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Welder / Fitter with a minimum of 5 years of experience and a valid CWB certification. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting, welding, and fabricating metal components according to drawings and specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fitting and welding of metal components as per blueprints and drawings

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, symbols, and weld specifications

• Weld using approved CWB procedures (MIG, Flux-Core, Stick, as applicable)

• Fit structural steel, plates, beams, and pipes accurately

• Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with standards

• Operate welding and fabrication tools safely and efficiently

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Meet production schedules and quality requirements

• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Welder / Fitter

• Valid CWB certification (mandatory)

• Strong ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols

• Experience with structural steel and fabrication work

• Knowledge of welding codes and safety standards

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and workmanship

Preferred (Asset)

• Additional welding processes or positions

• Forklift or overhead crane experience

• Shop or site experience
