Working in a continuous manufacturing environment, you will troubleshoot electrical and control-system issues, complete repairs and installations, and perform planned, preventive and predictive maintenance. Success requires strong electrical judgment, safe work practices, attention to detail, and effective collaboration with operators, tradespeople, supervisors and technical partners.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate a safety-first mindset and follow required safe work practices, including lock-tag-try, electrical isolation, testing for absence of voltage, and applicable permits and procedures.
- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, wiring, motors, drives, sensors, lighting systems and related plant equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints and equipment documentation.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, automation systems and instrumentation to identify root causes and restore reliable operation.
- Complete preventive and predictive maintenance, identify developing concerns, and resolve issues before they affect safety, quality or production.
- Support electrical installations, upgrades and equipment commissioning, including preliminary planning, sketches, material requirements and practical estimates.
- Apply the Canadian Electrical Code and accepted industrial electrical practices to maintenance and installation work.
- Communicate clearly about equipment condition, completed work, outstanding risks and required follow-up across shifts.
- Maintain accurate work records and contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, reliability and productivity.
- Continue developing technical knowledge and remain current with industrial electrical and automation practices.
- Perform other duties assigned by Maintenance Leaders and Shift Supervisors.
- Valid Ontario 309A or 442A Certificate of Qualification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Three years of manufacturing or industrial electrical maintenance experience, or more, is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical systems, electrical controls, motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors and automation equipment.
- Ability to participate in and successfully complete a workplace skills assessment.
- Must work a 3 on/3 off rotating 12-hour day/night shift schedule, 24/7/365, including weekends and holidays.
- Must currently have the legal right to work and live in Canada.

- Base rate: $44.29/hour, paid weekly.
- Night premium: $0.80 per hour.
- Weekend premium: 1.5 times the applicable rate.
- Overtime premium: 1.5 times the applicable rate.
