Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Roofers and Shinglers Supervisor to oversee roofing crews and projects across residential and commercial construction sites in Coquitlam, BC. The successful candidate will coordinate daily activities, supervise workers, manage materials and schedules, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

This is a hands-on, outdoor position that requires working at heights and strong knowledge of roofing construction.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise roofing crews, workers, and active construction projects.
  • Coordinate and schedule daily roofing activities and project timelines.
  • Prepare production, progress, and other project reports.
  • Estimate labor, materials, equipment, and project costs.
  • Order and coordinate delivery of roofing materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Monitor work quality, productivity, and project progress.
  • Ensure workers follow company procedures and applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Train new employees and arrange additional training when required.
  • Identify project issues and coordinate solutions with management and crews.
  • Recommend personnel actions when necessary.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and records.
  • Communicate with contractors, clients, suppliers, and other trades as required.

Requirements

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1–2 years of relevant supervisory or roofing construction experience.
  • Experience supervising roofing, shingling, or construction crews is preferred.
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial roofing practices.
  • Ability to estimate materials, labor, and project requirements.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors and safely at heights.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work effectively with a team.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • English language proficiency.
