Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Flexographic Printing Supervisor to lead our printing operations. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the flexographic printing process, ensuring high-quality output, efficiency, and safety standards are maintained. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement in print production while fostering a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of flexographic printing press operators and production staff.
- Schedule and assign daily production work to meet customer deadlines.
- Monitor press operations, productivity and workflow.
- Ensure printed labels meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Review job specifications, artwork, colours and production requirements before printing.
- Troubleshoot printing and production issues and provide technical support to press operators.
- Monitor ink colour, registration, print quality and other press settings.
- Train employees on operating procedures, quality requirements and safe work practices.
- Ensure equipment is operated properly and coordinate required maintenance.
- Maintain production records and report production or quality issues to management.
- Ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed.
- Recommend improvements to printing processes, productivity and quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing or packaging environments with a focus on flexographic printing or related printing processes.
- Mechanical knowledge of printing presses, machining, and related equipment.
- Strong warehouse experience including forklift operation and inventory management.
- Familiarity with packaging materials and manufacturing workflows.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting machinery issues.
- Prior experience in a supervisory role is preferred but not required.
- Must be a Canadian Citizen of Permanent Residence
