About the Role
Skyline Recruitment is representing one of Canada's established residential construction companies looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its Vancouver Island team.
Based in Victoria, this role will be responsible for the delivery of a significant residential construction project and requires someone with a strong understanding of large-scale multi-family construction.
The successful candidate will work closely with the site team, consultants, subcontractors and senior management to manage the project from construction through completion.
This position would suit a Project Manager with strong General Contractor experience who is comfortable taking ownership of schedule, budget, procurement and overall project performance.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Managing the project from construction through completion and turnover.
Working closely with the Superintendent and site management team.
Managing project budgets, schedules and cost controls.
Coordinating consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
Managing tendering, procurement and subcontractor awards.
Reviewing project drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders and project reporting.
Identifying project risks and resolving issues before they impact schedule or budget.
Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and ownership representatives.
Monitoring project progress and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
Supporting deficiencies, occupancy and final project close-out.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5+ years' experience within Project Management.
Strong General Contractor construction background.
Experience delivering large multi-family residential projects.
Concrete high-rise or mid-rise construction experience is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, procurement and cost control.
Experience managing projects through multiple stages of construction.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with experienced site teams.
Construction Management, Engineering, Building Technology or equivalent education would be an asset.
