Software Developer

Brandt Corporate Services Ltd. is currently seeking Software Developers for our Regina, SK location.

The Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web and desktop applications based on business requirements. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, including designers, programmers, and database specialists, and possesses a broad understanding of development across presentation, data access, and application deployment layers.

• Develop and test C# desktop and web applications (MVC, Web Forms, Web API).
• Participate in technical solution discussions with the team and articulate innovative new ideas, approaches, and recommendations.
• Maintain code effectively in version control (TFS and Git), including branching and merging.
• Identify technical risks throughout the software development lifecycle, raise concerns to the development team, and suggest alternative solutions.
• Generate software documentation and reports.
• Work effectively in an
• Agile software development (or adapted Agile) environment.
• Independently research solutions to problems and discuss with the team.
• Other duties as assigned.

• University degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or tech school Computer Systems/Software Development diploma, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional development experience delivering web-based solutions using C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, or similar technologies.
• Established skills in designing tables, stored procedures, and queries in MS SQL 2012 or similar SQL databases.
• Familiarity with front-end design technologies including CSS, HTML, Javascript, JQuery, and Bootstrap.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
