Immediate Hiring - Carpenter in Edmonton, AB
We're looking for a motivated, dependable Carpenter to join our Edmonton team. The ideal candidate has hands-on construction experience, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work safely and efficiently both independently and as part of a crew.
Responsibilities
- Perform framing, rough and finish carpentry, and general construction work.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other building materials.
- Install doors, windows, trim, siding, decking, and other building components as required.
- Complete repairs, renovations, and general carpentry tasks.
- Use hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, levels, and other construction equipment safely.
- Perform accurate measurements and ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Assist with material handling, site preparation, and general construction activities.
- Identify and report material, quality, or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow project schedules, site procedures, and company safety policies.
- Work collaboratively with carpenters, laborers, supervisors, and other trades.
Qualifications
- Previous carpentry or construction experience required.
- Experience with framing, finishing, renovations, or general construction is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and measurements.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and construction methods.
- Good problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physically able to lift materials, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and perform manual construction work.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and respiratory mask fit test.
