Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling mechanical components and systems with precision and according to technical specifications.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Shifts

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Saturday Overtime: Available occasionally and optional

Training may be provided on the day shift before moving to the afternoon shift, if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble mechanical components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and various equipment to assemble parts according to specifications.
  • Use calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as required.
  • Weld, machine, or modify parts as needed to meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform quality checks on assembled components to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work closely with team members to maintain an efficient production workflow.
  • Complete assigned work orders accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or a similar hands-on environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience using calipers and other measuring tools.
  • Experience with machining, welding, or forklift operation is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Previous warehouse or production experience is an asset but not required.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety and manufacturing procedures.
  • Must be comfortable working the assigned shift and occasional optional Saturday overtime.
