$32 / hour

This is a year-round, full-time career opportunity with benefits in the Canada's Wonderland Maintenance Department.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: The ideal candidate will have proven technical experience and skills working on a variety of systems ranging from; Audio/Video, to Digital Signage, to Controls Systems and CCTV

SCOPE OF POSITION: The successful candidates will be a “hands-on” team-player, who can work independently or as part of a group, assisting in the installation and maintenance of all Technical Services equipment throughout the park


Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of the Park's electronic systems, including; Park Audio/Video, CCTV, Networking, Games, Interactive Dark Rides, Digital Signage, Communication Equipment.
  • Assist with the training and mentorship of seasonal associates within the Technical Services Department.
  • Takes a leadership role, functioning as a “crew chief” while on shift with seasonal associates.
  • Ensure any issues with equipment/systems are repaired quickly, minimizing downtimes and guest impact while in operation.
  • Ensure all company and department policies and procedures are followed and assist in the creation and updating of policies.

Qualifications:
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related technical field or significant, relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of networked audio distribution, video and digital signage systems, electronics, telecom/datacom, and CCTV systems are required.
  • Strong computer skills (including; Windows, MS Office, Outlook, etc.) are required.
  • Previous leadership/supervisory experience are an asset.
  • Previous experience with multi-projector video systems is an asset.
  • Q-SYS Level 1 or 2 certification is an asset.
  • CTS certification is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of electrical control systems (including electrical control cabinets, PLCs, etc.) is an asset
  • Strong software development skills are an asset
  • Aerial Lift Platform and Working at Heights training is an asset.
  • Experience installing cable and conduit, as well as terminating network, speaker and microphone cable is an asset.
  • Ownership of tools and safety boots a must
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks and prioritize on the fly based on company requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to work various shifts starting early in the morning or ending late at night, including weekends and holidays.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of conditions, including rain, cold, heat, snow, etc.
  • A valid Ontario Driver's License (class G2 or greater).
  • Required to meet the physical demands of the job including; lifting weights of up to 23kg, working at heights of up to 106m, spending large amounts of time standing and walking, twisting, reaching, bending, and crawling.
