Student Cook

Green Acres Foundation is seeking an organized, self-motivated Student Cook who is eager to gain meaningful experience and exposure in the culinary field.

We are looking for someone who is currently enrolled in a Culinary Program and is wanting to complete their 480 hours of work experience. The right applicant will have provincial certification in food safety, hygiene, and a flexible schedule.

The duration of this position is 480 hours.

Key responsibilities and duties:

• Prepping and cooking for 50+ people per meal
• Following the established menu plan
• Maintaining a clean and well-organized kitchen
• Ordering food and kitchen inventory
• Liaising with residents by assisting with serving
• Cleanup in the dining room as required

Qualifications and Experience

• Proof of enrollment in a Culinary Program
• Willingness to learn
• Provide a current satisfactory criminal record check
