Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room Travel Nurse

Assignment Location: Sechelt, BC - Sunshine Coast

Specialty: Operating Room (OR)

Current Coverage Needs: November 27-December 13, and January 1 onward

Position: Travel Contract, Accommodation and Flight Covered

HealthOPM is recruiting experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses for travel assignments at a hospital in Sechelt, British Columbia. The current need includes specific coverage from November 27 to December 13, as well as additional OR coverage beginning January 1 onward.

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room.
• Prepare the operating room, equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Support safe patient care before, during and immediately following procedures.
• Perform circulating and other perioperative nursing responsibilities within scope and site requirements.
• Maintain sterile practice and follow infection prevention and surgical safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers and the interdisciplinary surgical team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and follow site policies and procedures.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse in British Columbia, or ability to obtain BC registration before the assignment.
• Recent Operating Room / perioperative nursing experience.
• Perioperative nursing education, training or equivalent relevant experience.
• Current BLS.
• Availability for the required Sechelt, BC travel assignment dates.
