Volt is immediately hiring for Production Technician / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operator in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

As a Production Technician / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operator, you will:

  • Operate, monitor, adjust and maintain pharmaceutical processing units and equipment in the manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and/or Fermentation products.
  • Operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and processing systems
  • Perform production, filling, packaging, and assembly activities in a GMP-regulated environment
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Complete batch records and production documentation to meet regulatory requirements
  • Assist with in-process quality checks and testing to ensure products meet specifications
  • Support equipment, cleaning, filtration, sterilization, and process validation activities
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to achieve production goals safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment

This is a full time, contract opportunity.

Work Schedule:

  • Rotating 12-Hour Shifts (2 Weeks Days / 2 Weeks Nights)

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma in a related field such as Science, Biotechnology, Chemical Technology, Engineering Technology, Pharmaceutical Technology, or Manufacturing
  • Previous manufacturing, production, or industrial experience
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate records
  • Physical Requirements
    • Must be able to wear a respirator as required
    • Ability to lift and move materials up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
    • Comfortable working in a manufacturing and laboratory production environment
    • Ability to work rotating day and night shifts

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.11 per hour.
