Billing Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Billing Specialist to join our client's team in Brampton, ON.

Salary: $50,000/year

Shift: 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers, advising customers of shipment status and obtaining information.
• Communicate with shippers/carriers to obtain shipment information, negotiate rates, and arrange pickup and delivery of orders.
• Update shipment events and enter billing information in the system.
• Generate and retrieve invoices for accounting.
• Audit files and carrier invoices.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Group Freight operations (minimum 2 years).
• Strong knowledge of Ground Freight billing requirements.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office - Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• High attention to detail.
• Strong ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
