Mississauga, ON (Hybrid, 4 days onsite) · 12-month contract, option to convert · Intermediate to Senior
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is a CIRO-regulated wealth management firm and MGA in Mississauga, supporting independent advisors across Canada in insurance distribution and investments.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The firm is modernizing its back office with an agentic AI platform that already automates much of its advisor contracting and is expanding to onboarding, trade processing and compliance. The Business Analyst will own the business side of this program: document how work is done today, define the requirements and redesigned processes, and ensure the right human oversight stays in place.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead current-state discovery through interviews and job shadowing, and produce process maps, SOPs and business rules.
  • Serve as the business lead with the technology partner, authoring requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria and driving items to sign-off.
  • Redesign processes to combine automation with human-in-the-loop review, particularly for regulatory controls.
  • Plan and run user acceptance testing and help define how automation accuracy is measured after go-live.
  • Update procedures, train staff on new workflows and build a central process library.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst or Process Analyst, including current-state to future-state work.
  • Experience in Canadian insurance distribution and wealth management operations, with insurance weighted more heavily. MGA, carrier distribution or new business background is ideal.
  • Knowledge of advisor contracting and licensing (APEXA, carrier contracting, E&O and licence tracking) and life insurance new business.
  • Working knowledge of mutual fund and segregated fund account opening and trade processing, including KYC, FundSERV and a back-office system such as VieFund.
  • Strong process mapping and requirements documentation skills, and experience working with an external technology vendor through UAT and sign-off.
  • Understanding of the Canadian regulatory context, including CIRO, FSRA and KYC/AML.
Preferred
  • Experience on an automation, RPA or AI project, and mentoring junior analysts.
  • CBAP or CCBA; LLQP, CSC or IFIC.
