Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg's leader in Permanent Accounting & Operations Recruitment, has partnered with a growing Winnipeg-based organization to recruit a Warehouse & Inventory Manager to join their team. This is a hands-on opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented professional who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working closely with operations and project teams.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing inventory and warehouse activities while developing a more structured and reliable inventory tracking and reconciliation process. Responsibilities:

· Oversee the day-to-day receiving, organization, storage, tracking, and distribution of equipment and materials.

· Receive and verify incoming shipments, ensuring quantities and materials are accurately recorded.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records across multiple areas or business entities.

· Develop and maintain an electronic inventory tracking system to improve visibility and replace manual recordkeeping.

· Establish and maintain regular inventory reconciliation and cycle count processes.

· Investigate inventory discrepancies between physical stock and recorded quantities and identify root causes.

· Prepare accurate inventory reports and provide regular updates to management and key stakeholders.

· Coordinate the staging and dispatch of materials to project sites, ensuring crews have the necessary materials when required.

· Manage warehouse organization, layout, and storage capacity as inventory levels change.

· Work closely with project coordinators, field teams, and management to coordinate material requirements and changing project timelines.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

· Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and overall materials management processes.

Requirements:

· 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping/receiving, materials coordination, or a related field.

· Strong inventory management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to maintain and analyze inventory records.

· Experience with inventory tracking systems or ERP systems is an asset.

· Strong problem-solving and reconciliation skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with field teams, project coordinators, management, and external partners.

· Comfortable working in a hands-on, warehouse-based environment and adapting to changing priorities.

· Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active/on your feet throughout the workday.

· Highly organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of processes and responsibilities.

Nice to Have:

· Experience within construction, telecommunications, electrical, industrial, or technical services.

· Experience with inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, or materials management.

· Forklift certification or previous experience operating warehouse equipment.

· Experience implementing or improving inventory tracking processes.
