Position: Full-time, permanent | On-site
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations, industrial parts inventory and purchasing for a cement manufacturing plant in Bath, Ontario.
You will manage more than 7,000 inventory part numbers, supervise a unionized stores clerk and work closely with maintenance and plant operations to ensure critical parts are available to keep production running. Strong SAP skills, industrial inventory knowledge and purchasing experience are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plant warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, stock reconciliation, cycle counts and incoming/outgoing materials.
- Use SAP and MRP to manage replenishment, min/max inventory levels and purchasing requirements.
- Source industrial parts, obtain supplier quotes, create purchase orders and negotiate pricing and delivery timelines.
- Work closely with maintenance and plant operations to prioritize urgent parts requests and support planned shutdowns.
- Prevent duplicate orders, reduce excess inventory and minimize shortages of critical parts.
- Supervise the stores clerk responsible for receiving, labeling, locating and issuing parts.
- Monitor inventory and purchasing KPIs, analyze data and implement process improvements.
- Support Contractor Safety Management requirements and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.
- Strong practical experience with SAP inventory, purchasing and maintenance-related functions, along with MRP.
- Purchasing and inventory control experience in heavy industrial, automotive, oil and gas, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with industrial maintenance parts such as bearings, motors, gearboxes, couplings, filters and rollers.
- Experience managing inventory levels, cycle counts, stock discrepancies and supplier relationships.
- Strong organization, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to urgent plant requirements.
- Experience supervising hourly employees; experience working with unionized personnel is an asset.
- A bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field, with at least three years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma/GED with at least six years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to wear company-approved PPE when entering plant areas, including meeting respirator fit requirements where applicable.
- $75,000–$85,000 annual salary.
