Reporting to the Manager, Environment, the Environment Specialist will work closely with the Environment Team to promote and ensure that environmental compliance is adhered to within Canada Packers.

Responsibilities:Coordination of Manure Management Program – including vendor management, biosecurity, PO and invoice management, permits.
Administer manure applicator agreements, including coordinating contracts, requesting purchase orders, and ensuring proper documentation is in place prior to work execution.
Coordinate seasonal and operational programs, including winterization of slurry tanks and supporting critical manure management periods such as spring sales invoicing and execution.
Process and coordinate invoicing activities across multiple streams, including manure applicator), garbage, and land rent.
Development and Supervision of environmental corrective action plans.
Coaching and Training barn employees on regulations and environment management.

Skills & Experience:Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or Engineering (Biosystems) or Agriculture Diploma and/or 5+ years relevant experience with a strong preference for Agronomy or Agroecology or Soil Science.
Project Management experience considered an asset.
Ability to be process focused.

Highly motivated self-starter that can operate independently with minimum or no supervision.

Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle.
Willingness to travel within Manitoba and Saskatchewan, including periods of up to 2 consecutive nights away from home.
