We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Shop / Welding Helper to support our fabrication and manufacturing team.
This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, wants to learn more about metal fabrication and welding, and is comfortable working in a busy industrial shop environment. Previous shop experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are equally important.

What You'll Do
The Shop / Welding Helper will assist our welders and fabrication team with day-to-day shop activities, including:
- Preparing materials for welding and fabrication
- Grinding, deburring, cleaning, and finishing metal components
- Cutting, measuring, drilling, and preparing parts
- Moving and organizing steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and fabricated components
- Assisting welders with fitting, positioning, and handling materials
- Cleaning and preparing parts before and after welding
- Helping with assembly of fabricated products
- Operating basic shop equipment and hand tools
- Assisting with packaging and preparing finished products for shipment
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Helping with material handling, shop organization, and general labour as required
- Following company safety procedures and quality standards
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and able to show up consistently and on time
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and welding environment
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools
- Able to read a tape measure accurately
- Able to lift and move materials safely
- Willing to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently once trained
- Safety-conscious and willing to follow established procedures
- Positive attitude and willing to help wherever needed
Experience That Would Be an Asset
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial, but is not required:
- Welding or metal fabrication
- Grinding and metal finishing
- MIG or TIG welding
- Sheet metal work
- Manufacturing or machine-shop environments
- Forklift or material-handling equipment
- Reading basic fabrication drawings
- Powder coating or surface preparation
