Tead Lead ---Afternoon Shift

Job Title: Team Lead

Position Summary: The Team Lead is responsible, with the assistance of the Production Manager and Production Supervisors, for ensuring that everyone on his/her team is adequately performing their job.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Package products according to packaging specifications, expiration code, and quality attributes.
• Verify line quality checks including CCP documentation (sensory evaluation, weight checks, parameter documentation, control charts), and accurately report production quantities.
• Document corrective actions taken for out-of-control processes.
• Input production data into the Navision system.
• Ensure GMPs are practiced and adhere to the company's quality policy.
• Ensure the use of clean trays and that work areas are free of hazards.
• Perform pre-operational checks for quality and safety.
• Interact with mixer/operators to resolve packaging equipment and minor mechanical problems.
• Manage material and finished product flow in the packaging area using the FIFO method.
• Manage breaks and relieve positions as needed - must be able to perform all packaging tasks.
• Direct and monitor activities of packaging line Team Members.
• Always work safely, keep the work area clean and tidy, wear proper PPE, ensure the product meets proper quality and food safety standards, and work according to GMP rules.
• Act as Fire Warden to the assigned group of Team Members.
• Must be trained on food allergens.
• Any other duties as assigned.
