Respiratory Therapist

Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

We are seeking experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) to join a multidisciplinary air medical crew providing respiratory care, rapid clinical intervention and safe interfacility transport of ill and injured patients.

The RRT will work alongside an RN or Advanced Care Paramedic, with consultation support from an On-Line Medical Control Physician.

• Provide respiratory care during aeromedical transport
• Assess and monitor patients throughout transport
• Provide appropriate respiratory interventions
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Work collaboratively with RNs, ACPs and physicians
• Support safe transport of patients across all age groups
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient care
• Maintain patient safety and professional standards

• 2+ years of experience in intensive/critical care, emergency care or aeromedicine preferred
• Current registration in good standing with your home province/territory
• Ability to attain and maintain registration with the Manitoba Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists (MARRT)
• Medical transport experience is an asset

• Current BLS — required
• Current ACLS — required
