- Diagnose and analyze complex mechanical and electrical issues, identifying root causes and recommending effective repair solutions.
- Perform major repairs and maintenance on key vehicle systems, including brakes, suspension, driveline components, transmissions, engines, emissions equipment, and electrical systems, while meeting manufacturer and industry standards.
- Complete CVSE inspections, preventative maintenance services, pre-delivery inspections, and annual inspections to ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant, and road-ready.
- Respond to roadside and on-site service calls, delivering timely technical expertise and repair solutions when and where they are needed.
- Work closely with manufacturer technical support teams to resolve challenging diagnostic issues and expand technical knowledge.
- Conduct road tests to verify repairs, optimize vehicle performance, and maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
- Provide guidance and technical support to customers and team members while participating in manufacturer training programs to stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Maintain detailed service documentation, including repair records and warranty-related information, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Red Seal in Commercial Transport or Heavy Equipment with 2+ years of hands-on experience.
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Proficient in using computerized diagnostic tools, technical documentation, and digital systems to troubleshoot issues and complete accurate service records.
- Skilled at balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering timely, adaptable, and customer-focused service.
- Strong knowledge of provincial CVSE requirements and federal motor vehicle regulations, with a commitment to maintaining safety, compliance, and industry standards.
- Valid Class 1, 2, or 3 Driver's License
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) License
- Cummins Certifications
- Hino Certification
- First Aid Certification
