Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, accruals, and accounting adjustments to support accurate financial reporting.
• Review and process journal entries from various finance functions, ensuring alignment with the general ledger and a clear understanding of how transactions impact interconnected accounting areas.
• Manage prepaid expense transactions, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely journal entries.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, helping ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and delivered within established deadlines.
• Conduct reasonableness checks and variance analysis on key financial accounts, including revenue and general expenses, to identify discrepancies and explain significant fluctuations.
• Prepare and review budget-related information for utilities, building operations, and associated expenses.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with relevant team members to resolve outstanding items.
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements and supporting financial analysis reports.
• Work closely with colleagues across finance to maintain effective accounting processes and ensure consistency in financial reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree or university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar finance role.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
• Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle, general ledger processes, and the relationships between different finance functions.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify discrepancies and develop practical solutions.
• Organization & Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize competing deadlines, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain accuracy during reporting periods.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and insights clearly and concisely.
• Collaboration: Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with colleagues and stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
• Working Style: Comfortable working independently and maintaining focus during busy reporting cycles, while also contributing actively to team discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving.
