Job Overview
This is a part-time position, reporting to the Kitchen leadership team, supporting the day-to-day operations of the Kitchen. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas, ensuring cooking utensils, china, flatware, glassware, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored while supporting a safe and efficient kitchen operation.
Hourly Rate: $18.25 - $18.75
Key ResponsibilitiesThe following outlines the primary responsibilities of this role, including but not limited to:
Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishware, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment in accordance with established sanitation standards.
Operate and maintain the dishwashing area, including monitoring appropriate dishwasher temperatures and reporting any concerns or discrepancies.
Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary dishwashing, kitchen, food preparation, storage, cooler, and freezer areas.
Ensure adequate levels of clean tableware, kitchenware, and equipment are available to support daily dining operations and Club events.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors and clean stainless steel surfaces, shelving, dish cabinets, and other designated kitchen areas.
Handle garbage, recycling, cardboard, and broken glass safely and in accordance with Club procedures.
Handle china, glassware, silverware, and other equipment carefully to minimize damage, breakage, and loss.
Assist with the movement, organization, and storage of kitchen supplies and equipment, including maintaining proper stock rotation using FIFO practices where applicable.
Assist with event setup, kitchen organization, basic food preparation, and other operational tasks as required.
Support the smooth and efficient operation of the Kitchen and perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Management.
Qualifications
Previous dishwashing, kitchen, restaurant, or hospitality experience is considered an asset; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment and as part of a team.
Dependable, punctual, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Ability to follow instructions, established procedures, and workplace health and safety practices.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling kitchen supplies and equipment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Food Handler Certification is considered an asset.

Availability primarily on weekends, with flexibility to work one to two weekdays as required based on operational needs.
