GL / All Terrain Forklift Operator

We're currently recruiting for an All Terrain Forklift Operator / General Labour associate. Lumber, steel, and other commodities will arrive at the facility by truck or rail. We are looking for forklift operators to safely and efficiently transfer these commodities to truck, rail, or container for furtherance. Product may also be unloaded and stored in inventory.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to handle various weight capacities (under and over 12,000 lbs).
• Loading and unloading product from trucks, railcars, or containers.
• Complying with all rules and regulations, protocols, and established metrics.
• Follow all workplace safety policies and compliance regulations; participate in identifying hazards.
• Inspect and verify product condition to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous forklift certification required and relevant experience required.
• Strong safety mindset.
• Quality-oriented.
• Needs to be responsible, accountable, and dependable.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills both verbally and written.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Exceptionally high level of hand-eye coordination.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps, heat, wind).
• Good physical condition.
• Can carry at least 50 lbs and swing a 10 lbs sledgehammer.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 / 4:00 PM (dependent on work)

Compensation:

• $25/hr
