The Opportunity

As a Team Lead, Materials & Packaging, you'll play a key role in keeping materials flowing to our packaging and print rooms and our inventory counts accurate. Your work will directly support the Logistics & Supply Chain team while contributing to the broader Village Farms mission of leading a sustainable path forward for global cannabis.

What You'll Do

Floor Leadership

• Work directly on the floor with the team for the full shift, translating and delegating tasks assigned by the Supervisor and keeping the team on schedule and on task.
• Verify task completion and correct product and lot handling before hand-off, and flag safety, quality, or equipment issues immediately.

Compliance & Training

• Enforce GMP practices in real time on the floor, from gowning and hygiene to correct lot and SKU handling and PPE use.
• Train new team members on specific tasks as they rotate in, and act as the bilingual link between supervision and a multilingual floor team.

Material Staging & Production Support

• Work with the packaging and print rooms to make sure they always have the materials they need, and keep the team on top of cycle counts.
• Be the go-to person for production requests, keeping material staging on schedule and issues resolved fast.

• Perform other duties and support evolving business priorities as assigned

What You Bring

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, production, or logistics environment, ideally in a regulated (GMP/cannabis) setting; prior experience directing or training other workers is an asset
• Knowledge & Skills: Bilingual (English plus a second language relevant to the floor team) strongly preferred, to translate instructions and safety information for a multilingual workforce
