Material Handler ---Afternoons

Job Summary Statement: The Material Handler is responsible for picking shipping orders, receiving and recording the movement of supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from our warehouse facilities. **This is a refrigerated environment** B. Essential Functions Responsibilities: · Stages and prepares shipments in accordance with the shipping schedule and daily shipping instructions. · Accurately labels and scans shipments and maintains internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems · Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks by auditing the condition of each shipment prior to loading or receiving. Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods. · Ensures trucks are loaded properly and safely and all shipments leave on time with the necessary documentation. · Sends ASNs (Advance Shipping Notice) to customers with which this procedure applies to. · Keeps shipping packaging and stock areas organized and neat and manages stock rotation (first in first out) · Receives incoming packaging materials returned from customers and stores it in a neat and orderly fashion. Records receipt according to customer specific SOP · Assists in regular inventory audits as well as spot checks, as required. · Communicates to management when incoming loads arrive without proper documentation/paperwork and ensures that all required paperwork is signed off. · Keeps work area clean/safe and create Accommodations are available upon request for all individuals with disabilities taking part in the recruitment and selection process.
