Job Title: Warehouse Technician

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of materials, consumables, tooling, and equipment across site warehouses and laydown areas. This role plays a key part in supporting Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams by ensuring timely receiving, storage, issuing, and documentation of inventory.

Working in a fast-paced mining environment, the Warehouse Technician upholds high standards of safety, organization, and customer service. As Eskay Creek transitions from construction into operations, this position will continue to evolve.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Material Handling & Inventory Management

• Receive, issue, and store materials, consumables, parts, and equipment.
• Organize and track inventory stored in warehouses and laydown yards.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of material usage, demand levels, and consumption patterns.
• Perform regular cycle counts, full stock counts, and inventory reconciliations.
• Conduct root cause analysis for stockouts and inventory discrepancies; work with Supply Chain to improve inventory accuracy KPIs.
• Identify and propose opportunities for process improvement.
• Store and organize materials according to industry best practices and established Supply Chain standards.
• Maintain accurate material master data and inventory locations using the Pronto ERP system.
• Monitor critical spares and notify Procurement of low stock or replenishment requirements.

Receiving & Shipping

• Receive incoming materials, equipment, and supplies; verify quantities, condition, and documentation.
• Inspect all shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly using the Over, Short & Damage (OS&D) procedure.
• Prepare and package outbound shipments, ensuring correct documentation and labeling.
• Coordinate with Logistics and Procurement to resolve delivery issues or concerns.

Material Issuing & Support

• Issue materials, PPE, parts, and consumables to Operations, Maintenance, and other departments.
• Stage or deliver materials to designated work areas or job sites, as required.
• Assist teams with locating parts, tools, and supplies.

Equipment Operation

• Safely operate forklifts, skid steers, pallet jacks, and related material-handling equipment.
• Complete pre-use inspections and report equipment issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse, yard, laydown areas, and cold storage.
• Assist with snow removal activities when required.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all site safety procedures, including WHMIS, TDG, and safe material-handling practices.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of hazardous or sensitive materials.
• Participate in department meetings, safety audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• All other duties as required.

The Ideal Candidate

Education / Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is an asset
• Valid forklift and skid steer certification, or ability to obtain certification
• Red Seal Parts Technician certification (or currently working towards it) is considered an asset
• WHMIS, TDG, or other safety certifications considered an asset
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License

Experience / Skills:

• 3+ years of warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience (industrial or mining environment preferred).
• Proficiency using ERP systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and recordkeeping.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• High level of integrity, reliability, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Location & Conditions
This is a site-based camp job at Eskay Creek Mine site. This position involves working at a remote mine site on a 15 days on/13 days off rotation.
The Eskay Creek Revitalization Project is located within the Coast Mountains of Northwestern British Columbia and Tahltan Territory. Ground transportation will be provided from local communities to the Eskay Creek Site facilities. For those applicants located elsewhere in western Canada, flight transportation from major urban centers will be provided to the Terrace or Smithers airports, from which shuttles will provide transportation to the Eskay Creek Camp facilities. Travel time and expenses are subject to Skeena's Travel Policy.

There will be exposure to extreme temperatures in all seasons including working outdoors in snow, mud, ice, and water conditions, walking to and from different locations on uneven ground, prolonged periods of standing and physically handling/lifting/moving heavy objects.

Compensation

The expected range for this position is CAD $40-48/per hour in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience.
