About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established construction and development organization with a diverse portfolio of projects across the Greater Toronto Area. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team and take a leading role in the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, with experience across low-rise, high-rise, and ICI (Industrial, Commercial & Institutional) projects. This is an opportunity for a hands-on Project Manager who is comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, coordinating trades and consultants, and driving projects from pre-construction through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from pre-construction through to project completion and turnover
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans
• Coordinate with owners, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work
• Oversee project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, site instructions, and other project correspondence
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and schedule performance
• Identify potential project risks and develop solutions to address issues proactively
• Coordinate and participate in project meetings and provide regular project updates
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed according to project requirements
• Work closely with site teams and Superintendents to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
• Review and approve progress claims, invoices, and project costs
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, safety requirements, contractual obligations, and company standards
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, trades, and other project stakeholders
• Support the successful closeout and turnover of completed projects

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of construction project management experience
• Experience managing construction projects in one or more of the following sectors:
  • Low-rise residential
  • High-rise residential
  • ICI construction
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, contracts, and project controls
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings
• Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and multiple project stakeholders
• Strong understanding of project budgets, costs, change orders, and forecasting
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline is an asset

Experience across multiple construction sectors is highly valued, particularly candidates who have exposure to low-rise, high-rise, and ICI projects.
