Human Resource Generalist / Business Partner

In the role of HR Generalist/Business Partner you will provide HR guidance and support across 3 lines of business in 11 locations throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. This position is a is a full-time, on-site role based in Balzac, with some travel to other locations required. Your main role will be to provide HR partner to local leadership in the areas of employee relations, HR policies and procedures, training and performance management.
Responsibilities

• Be a trusted advisor to site management
• Provide guidance on all matters related to employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Conduct thorough workplace investigations, when required
• Act as subject matter expert on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, HR initiatives, and process improvements.
• Take project lead role on companywide HR initiatives
• Coordinate onboarding, training, and development initiatives, and assist with recruitment as required.
• Promote a positive, safe, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR generalist role, including employee relations, and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and applicable employment legislation.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, consultation, and relationship-building skills.
