Controller

Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The role ensures accuracy and integrity of financial records, supports budgeting and financial planning and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The Controller provides financial insights and guidance to support strategic decision-making and the overall financial health of the organization

Qualifications: Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in accounting, business or business administration. CPA required.

A problem solver with strict attention to detail. Uses leadership skills to guide and strives for continuous improvement. Solid critical thinking and judgment for decision making. Fluent in budget planning, balance sheets, and month end and year end close practices. Fluent in keeping and updating general ledger. Collaboration with other team members and departments.

Duties:

Oversee and manage month end and year-end financial reporting close processes

Responsible for the timely completion of internal financial statements

Run monthly and annual audit reports, analyze data and report findings to the team

Remit payments for Government, Payroll, HST and WSIB

Keep an organized filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments and debts

Organize information and statements for audits and both internal and external auditors

Responsible for planning functions including budget and forecasting

Analyze and interpret balance sheet and income statement metrics and trends

Complying with all provincial and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting

Oversee all payments made for debts, bank loans, and other large quantities of money

Additional Controller duties as needed
