Senior Folding Technician
Shifts:

• Day Shift
• Afternoon Shift
• Weekend Shift

Pay: $28.00/hour
Location: Mississauga, ON Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are looking for an experienced Senior Folding Technician with a strong background in bindery, print finishing, or commercial print production. This position requires someone who can independently set up and operate folding equipment for complex, high-specification jobs while maintaining strict quality and production standards.The successful candidate will have strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to support and mentor junior team members. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate folding equipment for complex, high-specification jobs
• Work with multiple-up configurations, knife folds, and glue applications
• Independently complete machine set-ups, including feed guides, side guides, feed wheels, product backstops, knife roller pressure, counters, and stackers
• Read and interpret dockets and technical specifications before each production run
• Complete required production paperwork accurately and on time
• Perform machine repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues
• Mentor and provide hands-on training to junior bindery staff
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Meet established quality standards and production targets
• Follow all SOPs, health and safety policies, and workplace procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience as a senior folder operator in a bindery, print finishing, or commercial print environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
• Hands-on experience with complex folding configurations, including multi-up, knife work, and glue set-ups
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines
• Strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Secondary school diploma or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• G&K Outserter experience is a strong asset
