Heath Safety Specialist

Duties Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies tailored to manufacturing operations. Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WSIB requirements, Ministry of Labor regulations, and other applicable legislation. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all production areas to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Lead engaging training sessions on safety procedures, proper equipment uses, and emergency response protocols to ensure staff are well-informed and prepared. Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and safety violations thoroughly, documenting findings and implementing preventative measures. Collaborate with management to establish safety goals, monitor compliance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, incident reports, and regulatory documentation for audit purposes.
