Junior Project Manager

Junior Project Manager – (Plumbing & pipe-fitting) Full-Time Permanent Position Rocky View County, Alberta Salary Range $100,000 to $110,000 A well-established and growing organization in the mechanical construction industry is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects. With nearly a century of experience, this multidisciplinary firm specializes in design-build (DB) projects for building mechanical systems across commercial and industrial sectors. Following a recent strategic expansion across Canada, the organization continues to grow and offers a dynamic environment with strong opportunities for learning and career advancement. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing contract documents and defining project scope
• Support quantity take-offs for equipment and materials
• Assist with preparing and managing purchase orders
• Help develop and monitor project schedules using Microsoft Project
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Support project execution while monitoring budgets, costs, and timelines
• Assist with change orders, including pricing and approvals
• Support the preparation of schedules of values and progress billings
• Assist with commissioning and site activities
• Participate in site meetings and follow up on project requirements
• Help ensure projects meet quality standards and minimize deficiencies
• Assist with warranty, maintenance, and post-project service requirements
• Prepare correspondence and follow up with subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain project documentation and ensure information is kept up to date
• Perform other related duties as required

Profile & Qualifications

• DEC or Bachelor's degree in Building Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in plumbing or pipe-fitting
• Experience supporting or coordinating construction projects
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project is an asset
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit is an asset
• Experience with data center projects is an asset
• Experience with ventilation or a specialized mechanical contractor is an asset
• ASP Construction Safety Card is an asset
• Strong interest in developing a career in mechanical project management
