Foot Care Nurse

Omera Care is dedicated to providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality foot care services. We focus on helping clients maintain healthy feet, improve comfort and mobility, and feel confident in their everyday lives.

We are looking for a Foot Care Nurse who is passionate about client care and takes pride in providing professional, detail-oriented foot care services.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive foot assessments.
• Provide professional nursing foot care, including nail and skin care.
• Safely manage thickened, fungal, involuted, or difficult-to-cut nails as appropriate within your scope of practice.
• Provide care for corns, calluses, and other common foot concerns within your professional scope.
• Identify potential foot health concerns and recommend appropriate follow-up or referral when required.
• Provide client education on foot hygiene, footwear, skin care, and preventive foot care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures and maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
• Properly clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment according to applicable standards and clinic procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and other healthcare providers when appropriate.
• Provide compassionate, respectful, and individualized care to every client.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the appropriate provincial regulatory body.
• Foot care nursing Certificate.
• Experience providing nursing foot care is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of clinical care.
• Professional, reliable, compassionate, and client-focused approach.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is an asset.
• Professional liability insurance, as applicable.
