- Machine Setup & Operation: Calibrate, adjust, and run rotary presses or winding equipment according to precise job orders and specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished goods, measure dimensions using tools like calipers or tape measures, and check for defects or registration errors.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine cleanings, minor adjustments, and replace worn-out rollers or dies. Report major mechanical issues immediately.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow workplace safety rules, standard operating procedures, and lean manufacturing or food safety (HACCP/GMP) standards where applicable.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 6 months or more of manufacturing or rotary die-cutting experience is typically preferred.
- Key Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, basic math and measuring skills, and good color perception (if working with inks/printing)
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts, bend, walk, use hand tools, and lift heavy materials (frequently up to 85 lbs.)
