Porter

Bruce Nissan is looking for a dependable and hardworking Porter to support the day-to-day operations in our dealership. This hands-on position includes a variety of duties throughout the shop and dealership, including vehicle detailing, tire handling, lot maintenance and general assistance wherever needed.

This is a full-time, six-month contract position with potential for continued employment. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping things organized and is willing to help wherever needed to gain valuable hands-on experience in a busy dealership and become part of a supportive team.

• Clean and detail vehicles inside and out
• Load, unload, move and organize tires
• Assist technicians and other team members with general shop duties
• Keep the shop, wash bay, lot and surrounding areas clean and organized
• Move and park vehicles safely throughout the dealership lot
• Help prepare vehicles for customers and dealership use
• Complete seasonal outdoor tasks, including snow removal and lot upkeep
• Perform other general dealership duties as required
  

• A valid driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
• Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles is considered an asset
• Ability to lift and move tires and perform physically demanding work
• A dependable, positive and team-oriented attitude
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Previous detailing, shop or automotive experience is an asset, but not required
