Position Overview:

• Responsible for safe methods of hoisting and rigging.
• Accurately and effectively plan hoisting tasks on job sites.
• Ability to proficiently read and understand all aspects of the crane manufacturers recommendations and load charts.
• Conduct preoperational checks.
• Safely maneuver the crane to the designated location, considering factors such as weight, balance, as well as road and weather conditions.
• Complete all necessary documentation, both pre & post job / hazard assessments
• Perform routine maintenance on the crane.
• Agreement to do other meaningful tasks as assigned by the site supervisors when cranes are not being utilized.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and the general public.

Qualifications:

• Apprentice Boom Truck / Journeyman Red Seal Mobile Crane Ticket (required)
• Valid Class 1 License and acceptable Driver's Abstract
• Valid First Aid
• Valid H2S
• 3-5 years proven experience with a solid understanding of crane operations and safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes completing multiple lifts/jobs in one day.
• Ability to express a positive attitude in stressful situations / handle stress effectively and constructively.
• Strong understanding of all safety regulations.
