Head Pastry Chef | Luxury Property | Canadian West Coast

Salary: $80,000 CAD + accommodation + gratuities + benefits

We're looking for a talented Pastry Chef to join the culinary team of a beautiful luxury resort in Coastal British Columbia.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative pastry professional who loves working with exceptional seasonal ingredients and takes genuine pride in their craft.

You'll lead the day-to-day operations of the Pastry Department, producing everything from artisan breads and viennoiserie to patisserie, handmade chocolates, plated desserts and seasonal creations, while also supporting the wider culinary operation.

The role includes menu planning, production and presentation, alongside team leadership, scheduling, training, mentoring, ordering and inventory. We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable leading a team and getting hands-on in the kitchen.

What we're looking for:

Minimum 3 years' experience at a similar level within fine dining or a comparable high-end culinary environment
Strong pastry, dessert, cake and bread production skills
Creative, innovative and passionate about fresh, seasonal ingredients
Proven leadership abilities
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of current culinary and F&B trends and techniques
Journeyman/Red Seal Certification would be an asset
Valid Food Safe Certification
Ability to commit to the position for 2 years
